Deborah Griffin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barton Family Funeral Service of Edmonds on Mar. 26, 2026.
Deborah Joy Griffin, age 49, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on March 24, 2026. Born on May 21, 1976, Deborah lived a life rooted in love, care, and deep connection to those around her.

She is survived by her sister, Daniele (Eric) Lyman-Torres; her nieces, Cherylanne Parsons, Catalina Lyman-Torres, and Carolina Lyman-Torres; and her nephew, Breckin Parsons. She is also survived by her bonus nieces, Chantelle Overton and Emani Torres, and bonus nephews, Eric Torres III and Jayvion Overton. Deborah is further survived by a large and loving extended family, including cousins, in-laws, and many who became family through the bonds she built throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her mother, Donna Lyman; her father, David Lyman; and her long-time partner, Belton Lee, Jr.

Deborah was deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. For more than 20 years, she dedicated herself to running a daycare center, where she nurtured, supported, and helped shape the lives of countless children-many of whom grew into adults she remained immensely proud of. Her warmth, strength, and genuine care left a lasting impact on generations of families.

Although Deborah faced a number of debilitating health conditions over the past decade, she continued to show resilience and love in the face of those challenges.

At the time of her passing, Deborah was visiting her sister in Seattle and had been looking forward to making it her permanent home.

Services will be held in Rochester, New York, with details to be announced.

Deborah's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
