Debbie Ann Jamsek

It is with great sadness that the family of Debbie Jamsek announces her passing on February 22, 2026 at the age of 71. Debbie left us too soon but filled our lives with kindness, joy and love. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow in Vansant Road Cemetery in Clinton. Memorial contributions can be made to the Debbie Jamsek Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Debbie enjoyed her life at home with her husband John of 48 years. She loved her three cats and also likes to do puzzles, playing on her tablet, taking care of her inside plants and doing as little cooking as possible. She left that for John, which she thought he was the greatest cook in the world. She also loved people and enjoyed visiting with them when she had time.

Debbie was born at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri on January 3, 1955. In high school she played the flute and went on to junior college and studied arts and science, which later led to her job at Hallmark Cards where she was an artist designing Christmas cards. Later in life she was a hotel manager for Holiday Inn until she retired.

Debbie is survived by her husband of the home John R. Jamsek, her stepdaughter Lisa Reginia Jamsek of Clinton, her stepson John Wesley Jamsek and wife Tabetha of Clinton and their 4 children, Jaycob, Trinity, Paytyn and Virginia, her brother Clyde Cornell and wife Karen of Peachtree City, Georgia and their children, Ryan (Katelyn) Cornell, and Heather Cornell, her sister in law Stella Harvey of Clinton and her children Shawn Harvey and Faith Goehrig, her brother in law Larry Jamsek and wife Kathy of Calhoun.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierce Cornell and Anna Cornell, her grandmother Anna Rice, her brother Connely Cornell, brother in laws, Dwight Harvey, Roger Jamsek and Patrick Jamsek, her father and mother in law Roger L. and Lois M. Jamsek.

Debbie will be missed by many but mostly by her husband John, but she will live forever in all of our hearts.
