Deborah Lyn Jandle, formerly Deborah Sherwood, age 66, passed into the loving peace of her Heavenly Father on November 18, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born on September 21, 1959, Deborah lived a life marked by compassion, humility, and a quiet strength that carried her through every chapter of her journey.

Deborah devoted her career to serving others as a social worker, where her gentle spirit, deep empathy, and unwavering patience touched countless lives. She had a gift for seeing the heart of every person she encountered, offering comfort, dignity, and hope. Her work was not just a career-it was a calling, and she fulfilled it with grace.

Above all, Deborah cherished her family. She is lovingly remembered by her son and only child, Jeremy Lee Darin, who remained her greatest joy and source of pride. She is also remembered with love by Jeremy's wife, Sarah, and by both Jeremy's and Sarah's children:

Emily Lasher (husband David Lasher), Brianna Figures, Dominic Darin, Luca Darin, Olivia, and Isaac.

Deborah was also blessed with three great-grandchildren-Lilly, Bella, and Charlie-who brought her laughter, warmth, and moments of pure joy.

Throughout her years as a social worker, Deborah formed deep and lasting friendships with Marlene and Thavone. What began as workplace bonds grew into true family-relationships built on loyalty, shared experiences, and unwavering love. Their presence enriched Deborah's life in countless ways.

Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of God, reunited with loved ones who went before her and free from the burdens she carried in her final years. Her kindness, her resilience, and her gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.

Deborah will be cremated, with arrangements handled through Grand Rapids Crematory and Ofield Funeral Home in Kentwood, Michigan.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 17, 2026, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory, share stories, and give thanks for the gift of her life.

Deborah's light continues to guide those who loved her, a lasting reminder of her compassion, humility, and the love she gave so freely. May she rest in eternal comfort and grace.
