Deborah King Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 30, 2025.
Deborah King, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the age of 69.

She was predeceased by her parents, Linwood Huff and Ethelyn Foster; she was also the cherished daughter of Glen Foster and in-laws Herbert and Marilyn King. Deborah shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband of 24 years, Richard King, and together for almost 30 years they built a legacy of love, laughter and family.

She was the proud mother of Liza and Eric Tyler, Mandy and Bub Theriault, Ryan Dwelley and Cayla, Cassie Sherman and Chad, and Keith and Stephanie Shain. Her greatest joy was her family and her heart overflowed for love for her grandchildren – Alec and Macy Downs, Hailey and Nick Botting, Grace Sebestyen and Colin, Abby and Evan Theriault, Camryn Smith, Hayden Ludden, Carter Lanpher, Blakelyn Sherman, Clayton Smith, Adeleigh Harvey, Payten Shain, Gage Bailey and Henry Bailey Spaulding – and her great grandchildren Kaelyn Ireland and Hadley Botting.

She is survived by her siblings, Grace Byers, Mike and Laura Huff, Buzz Huff, Anna Huff, Glennie and Ann Foster, Julie Keplinger, Linda Kimball, Carol and Ron Hewes, Amy King and Billy, Terrie and Bob McLaughlin and Kenny King. She is predeceased by her siblings, Tillie and Terry Bickford, Sam Huff, Jackie Smith, Richard Byers, Mindy Foster, Terry Huff, Roger Kimball and Karen Currie. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Deborah lived a life filled with kindness and simple joys. She loved fishing, crocheting, puzzles and caring for her animals. She was happiest, surrounded by her family and friends -whether cooking for an army, enjoying lunch at the pub, relaxing at camp, or spending time with her grandkids. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved.

Her courage and grace through life's challenges over the last several years inspired all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be planned for July of 2026 in Maine, on what would have been her 70th birthday, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory and the love she shared so freely.
