Deborah A. (Beers) Lavoie passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025 at age 70 after a short illness.
Born in Leominster Massachusetts Deb was an alumni of Leominster high school graduating class of 1973. She went on to earn a bachelors degree in education from the University of Massachusetts in 1976 and a masters degree from Fitchburg State University. She also held a real estate broker’s license for many years.
Deborah will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and the loving and cherished daughter of the late Paul and Glorinda (Fantozzi) Beers. Deborah is survived by her husband, Mark, their beloved daughter, Amy and her close knit brothers Bradford, Clifford and Edward Beers. She is also survived by several nephews, Paul Beers, Ryan Nikin-Beers, Sean Gravelle and Cooper Napolitano. She is predeceased by her nephews Scott Beers and Michael Gravelle.
Her greatest love was her cherished daughter, Amy. Teaching math at Montachussett Regional Vocational Technical High School for 28 years was her greatest passion. She enjoyed going to Popponesset Beach on Cape Cod, gardening, and, in her younger years, skiing & sailing with her husband, Mark. She enjoyed retirement and regular outings with her teacher friends and conversing with her best friend from college.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 18th, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brandon Funeral Home located at 305 Wanoosnoc Rd in Fitchburg, MA.
The funeral will be held on Friday, September 19th, at 10:00 am at Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St in Leominster, MA.
Burial will follow at St. Leo’s cemetery in Leominster, MA.
The family appreciates your support and requests that floral tributes be replaced with donations to a charity of your choice.
