Deborah Longworth

Debbie Longworth passed peacefully on February 11, 2026. The heart center of our family and her rose garden corner home in Friendly Valley, Debbie's beautiful quiet presence will be missed and cherished.

Born in Los Angeles to Frank & Mary Longworth, graduated Bishop Alemany High '71, she earned her ECE Certificate Degree at Valley College & taught at Pinecrest. Later Debbie managed Granada Hills Hospital's Radiology Department, where recognizing her organizational skills and keen memory Dr. Sands hired Debbie to manage his OB/GYN Encino practice. Her working career was struck short when an underage drunk driver ran her over in '88. Debbie's resilience for life and her strong faith and constitution never wavered, even when she faced tremendous physical challenges and a lifetime of surgeries and rehabilitation. She leaves her love with her siblings: Pam Pelton, Maureen, Mike, Richard, Tom Longworth & Mary Mihm and their children and grandchildren. Her parents and aunts and uncles predeceased her but reportedly came during her hospice stay to "guide her to heaven" giving her family much peace of mind.
