Mama Deb, was a beautiful, compassionate, never-waivering, God fearing woman! Bringing others to the Lord was her destiny. Nothing made her happier then leading someone soul to the Lord.
I attended a Bible study that Deb taught in 2001. We automatically clicked. She believed God sent her the daughter she always prayed for & the compassionate Mama I always yearned for. As the years past our bond grew stronger & in my heart I truly believe no one ever has loved more than Deb. My children were her grandchildren & great grandchildren were both our joy. She encouraged me & never left me when my bio mother & my husband died.
She shared so much wisdom , she taught me the real meaning of friendships. Decernment of who is real & who is not.
She knew everything about me past, present & future. Never judged just loved me more.
Deb was a blessing to all who had the privilege to meet her. She was a Samaritian to the lost, sick & fallen. Didn't matter what side of the tracks you came from her arms were open to embrace you with God's love. Always gave without expecting anything in return.
I knew for a few weeks & by some talks that we had that pain & weariness was taking over her body & her joy. She didn't want to worry anyone. Instead she worried about me.
I was getting ready to have my 3rd surgery in 2 yrs and by far the worst one scheduled. All she thought about was being there with me.
Deb's 85th bday! Thanks to Daddio. We surprised her with a birthday dinner, gifts, balloons & cake. I hadn't seen her that happy in months. That night she told me that she's been having some tummy issues again, but she said she knew if she had one more surgery the Lord was taking her home. She said her body was not strong enough to handle it again.
A couple weeks later I had to leave town for my pre-op appointment. The next morning I received a text from Daddio he called ambulance to get Deb to hospital. She could no longer take the pain. They started antibiotics, took test & by 12:30 am she was in surgery. Her words to me on the night of her bday weighed on my heart. Surgery showed more than one person should ever have to endure. My beautiful Mama never woke up from that surgery, she went to be with the Lord 9/6/2025 @ 1pm.
My heart left with her we had so much still to do. We were planning a cruise, besides saving souls, she loved the beach, visiting friends & family.
She taught me to never doubt God! It's in his time, he never makes mistakes. Now knowing the pain she endured, I Thank You God for taking her home. I could see her beautiful blue eyes brightened by your sight & her radiant smile gleaming at the joy of being home with her Father.
I love you Deborah! I pray you knew how much. My life will never be the same. My heart will always feel that void.
Dance in heaven sweet lady! Your daughter Teya Maria
