Deborah Lynn Nicklin, 69, of Naplate, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.
Deborah was born August 30, 1956 in Ottawa, IL to Ronnie and Beverly (Applebee) Stapple. She owned and operated the Bargain Box in Ottawa and later in Streator for many years. She also worked as a waitress at the steakhouse and as a cab driver for G&R Cab. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed playing in her dart league, collecting shells and rocks, and going to garage sales. She enjoyed traveling, especially the trips she took to Mexico. More than anything, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her life partner, Gary Couch; her children, Dawn (Bill Harrison) Nicklin and Clinton Munson; Gary's children, Jason, Laura, Lisa, and Sabrina; her grandchildren, Ryan, Garrett, and Landon; and her siblings, Ron Stapple, Sarah Thomas, and Shelly Fannin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronnie and Beverly.
