Deborah Nell Pearce, 77, of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away on November 26, 2025. Born October 27, 1948, in San Antonio, TX, Deborah lived a bold and curiously eccentric life. She was a follower of Jesus, a devoted wife, a protective mother and a doting grandmother. The life she lived was as boldly vivid as it was wildly imaginative.

Deborah was widowed twice in her lifetime, having been preceded in death by her husbands, Clinton J. Pearce and Joseph R. Semer.

Going before her to eternity were parents, Charles and Elizabeth Herndon, brother Charles Herndon, and Sister Rebecca Pegram. While siblings Steve Herndon, Mary Herndon and Joe Herndon are still surviving.

She is also survived by her three daughters, Danyalle Youngers, Bethany Torino, and Sarah Allison, who carry forward her imagination, her resilience, and her faith. She was a devoted grandmother to Jessie Lyric Robbins, Hannah Youngers, John David Allison, Abigail Youngers, Shiloah Allison, Josiah Youngers, Journey Thouin, Joel Youngers, Christiana Allison, Bridge Thouin, Story Thouin, Amirah Youngers, Arden Allison, Manhattan Thouin, Robert Allison, Aliyah Allison, Clinton Allison, and Bella Torino, and she cherished her bonus grandchildren Michael Torino, Monet Bareika, Alysa Ferguson, and Joey Torino. She also was able to enjoy her first great grandchild, Guthrie Robbins. She will surely be watching from heaven, in pure bliss, as it is expected that many more greats will be born.

For more than two decades, Deborah owned Deborah’s Educare, a daycare where she poured her faith, her creativity, and her protective spirit into the children she cared for. In her final days, former families returned, three generations strong, to honor the impact she had on their lives.

Deborah’s faith in Jesus Christ was her deepest anchor. Even when her words failed her, she could still sing her favorite hymn, In the Garden, holding tightly to the belief that she truly was “His own.”

Her daughters carry forward her strong legacy, believing the eternal truth that the gospel of Jesus Christ is for the broken and the grace of God is the love that can heal us all.

A memorial service will be held on December 20th at The Church At Pleasant Grove, Mt. Juliet, TN at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites a donation to one of the following nonprofits serving vulnerable families in her community. This is a reflection of Deborah’s lifelong instinct to protect and advocate for the most vulnerable.
