Deborah K. Pierce, aged 76, of Kirkland, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025 at home. She was born on June 6, 1949 in Sycamore, IL to George J. Maness and Veda Morgan-Maness.

Debbie spent much of her life in Sycamore before settling in Kirkland, where she married the love of her life and best friend, John Pierce, in 1986. Throughout her life, Debbie was a dedicated and hardworking woman, employed by several companies across DeKalb County. She took great pride in her work and was known for her strong work ethic and unwavering commitment in everything she did.

Debbie's greatest joy in life was her family and her beloved dogs, who brought her endless happiness.

Each year, she proudly hosted a Fourth of July celebration during the Kirkland parade, welcoming friends and neighbors with food, drinks, and warm hospitality.

Debbie is survived by her husband, John; Children, Scott Collins, Rodney (Christina) Holman, Curtis (Michelle) Holman, Bruce (Gail) Pierce; Grandchildren, Paige (Eric) Ross, Will Holman, Nathan Holman, Jacob Holman, Klarissa (Zack) Beck, Kristin (Cody) Rothermel, Daniel Holman, Shane Pierce, Kyle Pierce; Great-Grandchildren, Liam, Harlow, Briar, Colton, Grayson, Lucy and Lola; her dog Luna; siblings, George Jr. (Linda) Maness, Jennifer Maness, Perry (Jeanne) Maness and Tom (Bonnie) Boan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Veda Miller and George Maness, Step-Mother, Jean Maness; brother, Darrell Maness; and mother and father-in-law, Erwin and Hazel Pierce.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Special thanks to Mo Cara Hospice and caregiver Sandy Pavovich.

In loving memory of Debbie, let us carry her spirit forward by treating others with the same kindness and warmth she shared so freely.
