Deborah A. Slusarik, 74, of Askam, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
She was born in Lansford, PA, a daughter of the late Daniel and Veronica Stoffey Bench. Debbie was a graduate of Marion Catholic High School in Tamaqua and she received her licensed practical nursing degree from the Vocational School of Nursing.
Debbie enjoyed tending to her flowers in her yard, she also enjoyed fishing, when the weather was nice. She loved her dog, Haylee, with whom she was inseparable.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Edward Slusarik and his fiancé, Paula, in 2003 and Joshua Slusarik in 2023. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Daniel and Ronald Bench.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Edward C. Slusarik, and by her sister, Marie Infante and her husband, Marty, Coaldale; sister-in-law, Kathleen Nadzan and her husband, Joseph, Dallas, Texas, and by her nephews, Joseph and Colin Nadzan
Private funeral services will be held from the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
