Deborah Lynn "Debby" Smith

Deborah "Debby" Lynn Smith, 68, of Polk, Nebraska died Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Merrick Medical Center in Central City, Nebraska. Memorial services will be Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Polk, Nebraska with Ford Shenk officiating. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.

Debby was born on July 6, 1956 to Richard and Myrtle (Smith) Shaver in Blacksburg, Virginia. She married Billy Smith on April 13, 1973 in Blacksburg, Virginia. The couple lived in Blacksburg, then to Richmond and then to Orlando, Florida for 23 years. Then in 2009, the couple moved to Polk, Nebraska.
Debby was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Polk. She enjoyed crafting and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband- Billy A. Smith of Polk, NE; sons- Jeffrey Smith and Shandra Wiedenman of Nampa, ID and Kenneth (Trisha) Smith of Henry, IL; sister- Rachel (Shane) Parson of Blacksburg, VA; grandchildren- Joshua Jurries, Jennifer Smith, Jennifer Edwards, Hanna Smith, Blake Smith, and Lexie Smith; great grandchildren- Xane Smith, Nora Edwards, Ryleigh Smith, and Amyas Smith.
Debby was preceded in death by her father and grandson- Gabriel Smith.
