Deborah was born on April 20, 1969, in West Plains, Missouri, to humble beginnings, but grew into a bright light in many people’s hearts. Deborah lived a life of integrity, generosity, and joy.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband of thirty years, Jeff; her children, Devin (Christy) and Tyler (Karsyn);her sister, Sandi (Bill); and her nephews, Ian and James.
A devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, Deborah always placed the needs of others before her own. Her unconditional love and unwavering positivity brought joy to those around her, and her warm smile could brighten anybody’s day. She lived a life of simplicity, finding joy in the little things and cherishing moments spent with loved ones. She was an artistic soul with a remarkable creative spirit, able to transform even the simplest things into works of beauty. Through her creativity, warmth, and genuine care, Deborah had a unique gift for making everyone feel valued, seen, and heard.
Deborah leaves a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories that will be carried in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She touched countless lives with her kindness and wisdom, leaving a profound impact on her friends and family.
Though Deborah may no longer be with us in the physical sense, the impact she made on our lives will forever remain.
May she continue to fill our hearts with joy, love, and happy memories.
The family invites you to an informal gathering to celebrate Deborah’s life, with time to visit, share stories, and enjoy her artwork as we remember her together at Lucas Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2026. Light food and drinks will be available.
In lieu of flowers, please consider bringing a donation (personal hygiene items) for Deborah’s favorite shelter, When We Love, to help carry on her generous spirit.
Guests are invited to wear green, Deborah’s favorite color, if you choose.
