Deborah Darlene Willis, of Sherman, TX, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2025, with her daughters at her side.
Deborah was born on February 14th, 1954, in Sherman, TX. She was raised in Sherman and was a 1972 graduate of Sherman High School. She later attended Grayson College.
On October 7th, 1974, she married William Craig Willis in Sherman. After Craig's death, she married Gary Sullivan.
Deborah was an Administrative Assistant and Payroll Specialist at Medical Plaza/Sherman Community Hospital for many years.
Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, fishing, singing, and dancing.
She loved people and especially family. She was an inspiration to so many people. She always put family first. She was nurturing, giving, and the best supporter anyone could ever ask for. She will forever be remembered for her smile, her spirit, her integrity, her generosity, and most of all for the love that she had to give.
Deborah was preceded in death by her biological and adoptive parents, Joel and Louise (Miller) Perry, Henry and Martha Vree, her husbands, William Craig Willis, Gary Sullivan, her brothers, Robert Perry, Jim Perry, Larry Perry, Billy Martel and Johnny Vree. She was also preceded by many in-laws and other extended family.
Surviving are her daughters, Kimberly Willis, Kristi Okray, and her husband, Michael, two grandsons, Nathan Okray and William Avery Okray, daughters by choice, Reenee Perry and Traci Shamburger; sisters, Margie Smith and her husband, Buddy, Sherry Boren and her husband, Paul, and Linda Skaggs, brothers, Jimmy Melton and his wife Lori, Dean Melton and Hanky Vree, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephew, as well as many "bonus kids' who considered her their Mom.
