Deborah Irene Wilson, 71, of Neodesha, Kansas, passed away on December 9, 2023, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on March 8, 1952, in Parsons, Kansas, to Billy Prater and Jacqueline (Spurgeon) Prater. Deborah was a loving and kind woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Deborah was a dedicated Home Health Caregiver, providing compassionate care to those in need. She had a passion for helping others and made a positive impact on the lives of many.
In her free time, Deborah enjoyed playing Bingo, visiting local casinos, and spending time with her family. She cherished moments with her loved ones and valued the company of her friends at the local cafe.
Deborah is survived by her three sons, James (Jennifer) Wilson of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Aaron (Loretta) Wilson of Independence, Kansas, and Chad Wilson of Cherryvale, Kansas. She also leaves behind her siblings, Marilyn (Marvin) Hestand of Cherryvale, Kansas, Linda Johnson of Baxter Springs, Kansas, Carl Prater of Independence, Kansas, and Ralph Prater of Cherryvale, Kansas. Deborah was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Deborah's birthday, March 8, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Wickham Family Funeral Home, located at 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor Deborah's memory.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cherryvale Food Bank in Deborah's name. She had a heart for helping those in need, and supporting the local community was important to her.
The Wickham Family Funeral Home in Cherryvale, Kansas, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
