Deborah I. Wright, 67, of Owensville, IN was called to her heavenly home Monday, November 17, 2025. She passed peacefully and was surrounded by loving family. Debbie was born October 30, 1958 in Powers Lake, North Dakota to the late Jessie Willard Nelson and Irene Janice (Eckert) Nelson. She married the love of her life, David Wright, June 1, 2013 and was blessed with 12 years of marriage. Debbie was a member of Dayspring Community Church in Owensville, IN. She was a member of the Deaf club in Indianapolis and Connections in Evansville. Debbie had a true passion for expressing her artistic abilities by drawing, coloring, and creating beautiful art. She liked spending time playing games on her phone, tablet, and with friends. Debbie will be missed by her family, friends, dog, Huggie, and cat, Tabby.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Danny Nelson, and sister-in-law, Deborah Hoover.

Debbie is survived by her husband, David Wright; children, Jeremy (Joy) Wright and Dylan (Jacinta Yanders) Wright; grandchildren, Dakota, Violet, Levi, and Abby; siblings, David Nelson and Denise (James) Bratcher; siblings-in-law, Rebecca (Chuck) Peyton, Daniel (Melanie) Wright, James (Anne) Wright, Donald (Kimberly) Wright; and Tony Hoover.

A funeral service will be held 12 PM Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Colvin Funeral Home with Rev. Loretta Memmer officiating. Visitation will be held 10 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial at a later date will take place at Owensville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Linda E. White Hospice House; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Condolences may be expressed and memories shared online at colvinfuneralhome.com. The Colvin Funeral Home in honored to serve Debbie's family.
