Deborah Kay Zerkel (nee Theel), of O Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the age of 73. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Eugene Zerkel; cherished daughter of the late Gordon Charles and Marjorie Dayle Theel; devoted mother of Amanda (Walter) Taylor and Melissa (James Brown) Cash; loving grandmother of Nicole Judd, Makayla Taylor, Marissa Taylor, Colby "Pilot" Taylor, Shianna Cash, Logan Taylor, and Lillian Taylor; great-grandmother of Ellie Koon and Milo Cunningham; dear sister of Richard Theel, Gerald Theel, and Judith Keller; adored by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Deborah is preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Cash and her two brothers, Gordon Charles Theel, II and Bradley Theel.
Deborah was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Deborah's name to Leukemia And Lymphoma Society.
