Ms. Debra "Debbie" Rose Ard, age 74, Johnson City, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Debbie was born in Gary, Indiana, to the late Earl and Jeanetta Elea. She was also preceded in death by her brother, David Elea, sister, Marilyn Watkins, and brother-in-law, Fulton Watkins.

Debbie graduated from Calumet High School in 1969. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, relaxing while watching her favorite television shows, and playing the Lottery-always dreaming of winning big so she could buy a home for everyone in her family. Debbie had a special love for her three dogs, who she adored and loved to spoil.

Debbie was a devoted member of Watauga First Baptist Church and looked forward to Sunday services each week. She loved her church family dearly and found great comfort and joy in her faith and fellowship.

She was a selfless and compassionate woman who consistently placed the needs of others before her own. A devoted mother and cherished grandmother, Debbie's love, guidance, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Young and her nurse AK at Johnson City Medical Center for their compassionate care and support during Debbie's time there.

Survivors include her children, Amy Goins, Brian Ard and Wayne Peek; grandchildren, Hailee Williams (Robbie), Emilee Goins (Brooklyn) Mazie Ard (Zack), Collin Ard, Ryder Peek, Lexington Ard; seven great grandchildren; two special nieces Kathy Hendrix and Tara Hendrix, sister-in-law Sandy Elea and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service for Debbie will be Thursday November 13, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Watauga First Baptist Church, 111 East 3rd Avenue, Watauga, TN 37694 with Pastor Jamie Gladden officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the services. There will be a celebration of life directly following the service at the church.
