Debra Breaux
May 7, 1954 - November 28, 2025
Debra Breaux was born on May 7, 1954 to the late Harold and Ella Brooks. She married her wonderful late husband Linza Breaux in 1980 and out of this union they had five children.
On November 28, 2025, Debra entered eternal rest to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ at the age of 71. She passed peacefully at the Calcutta House, surrounded by the
family who cherished her deeply. Debra's life was marked by unwavering strength,
determination, and faith. She found joy in reading, especially her bible, and lived as a
devoted believer in God, holding firmly to the teachings of Acts 2:38. baptized in 1980, she
reaffirmed her commitment to Christ later in life, demonstrating her enduring devotion and
spiritual resilience.
For thirty years, Debra served faithfully as a caregiver, embodying compassion and
selflessness in her work. Beyond her professional calling, she delighted in music, traveling,
and sharing meals with loved ones. Her favorite dishes-soup, gumbo, and pizza-were
often enjoyed in the company of family, whose presence she treasured above all else.
Debra's legacy is one of faith, service, and love. She leaves behind a powerful example of
perseverance and devotion, reminding all who knew her of the importance of living with
purpose, cherishing family, and walking steadfastly with God.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters Latoya Breaux Tolliver(Jude), April
Breaux Richard (Jeffery) and Brooklyn Breaux. Two sons, Stephen Breaux and Samuel
Breaux. Twelve grandchildren-Brianca, Traylond, Taylor, Dameon, Kathelon, Jeffery (Von),
Samari, Mason, Samani, Simone and Samson. Ten great children-Aubrielle, Kensley,
Bentlee, Travis (TJ), Tatum, Caden, Princeton, Dakota and Carson. Three sisters- Laura
Lawerence (Leroy), Carolyn Brooks and Francetta Stevenson (William), many friends to include two special childhood friends Shirly Helaire and Melinda White and a host of in-
laws, nieces nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Linza Breaux, her parents Harold and Ella
Brooks, two brothers-Harold and Micheal Brooks and one sister-Jerry Catalon.
