Our beloved Mother, Debra Ann Brown (Ms. Debie), age73, surrounded by loved ones, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her home in
Lubbock, Texas. Born in October of 1951 to her mother, Gloria Barbara Burger Madsen, and father, Joel Bascom Brown in Chico, California. Debie was the oldest daughter of ten siblings.
Debie singlehandedly raised her daughters, giving them life experiences in California, New Mexico, and Texas. In these places, she passed the love of creating art, painting, reading, music, and collecting antiques to her daughters. She also enjoyed ceramics, storm chasing, gardening, crocheting, knitting, and watching movies.
A few of her favorite sayings: "Love you more." "Other people's opinion of you is none of your business." and when someone was acting out, being unkind or mean, she would say: "God don't like ugly."
A long-time resident of Lubbock, Debie retired after many years as a merchandising manager at a local automotive retail store. Retirement allowed Debie to enjoy life with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her loving memories are her daughters; Trudy L. Brown of California, Penny R. Cooper of Wolfforth, Texas, Crystal M. Brown of
Lubbock, Texas, Michelle R. Brown of Little Rock, Arkansas, Chene' D. Brown of
