Debra Gibson Burrell of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away December 16, 2023 at home after an extended illness. She retired from the Prince George's County Office of the Sheriff where she worked all of her career. She was preceded in death by her parents, T. Newton & Ella Young Gibson of Huntingtown, MD, and by her siblings Barbara Powell, Thomas N. Gibson III, Samuel R Gibson, and Jamie Gibson.
Debra is survived by her husband Michael Burrell of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and her sisters Sharon "Tish" Lucas (Ed) of St. Leonard, MD and Brenda Gibson Hance (Jimmy) of Madison, FL. She loved her husband, family, and friends, and also enjoyed her dogs and playing golf. She will be missed.

One of the ladies in the golf group arrived late only to realize she forgot socks. Deb being very prepared opened her golf bag, pulled out a clean pair from her just in case stash, offered them up and we were on the tee in no time.
