Debra Camuso Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dello Russo Funeral Home - Medford on Feb. 25, 2025.
Debra Lee Camuso, 61, of Medford (MHS '82) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 21, 2025. Born in Medford, Debbi was the daughter of late John A. Camuso, Sr., and Carol (Lucia) Camuso. Devoted sister to Kelli Marcou and her husband Steve of Florida, John Camuso, Jr., and his wife Kristine of Medford, Susie McCurley and her husband Tom of Watertown, Joseph Camuso and his wife Lisa of Medford, Arthur T. Camuso and his wife Mary of Medford. Loving aunt to Brittany Reneé and Jonathan Marcou, Elise Camuso, Daniel and Liam McCurley, Valentina Camuso, Jai`len, Lucia, Thomas, Cameron and Dylan Camuso. Great aunt to Cameron, Mason, Mack and Trexden Marcou.
Debbi was an incredibly kind and loving sister, aunt, cousin and in-law. She was a proud dog-Mom to her beloved Chico. While growing up, she would never miss a football game to cheer on her brothers at Medford High School, selling 50/50s raffles and working the snack shack. Debbi was the first to ask to be a part of her nieces and nephew's graduations, ice skating shows, cheerleading competitions, sporting games, and family events. She was always very proud of her family, including her nephew and brother who served in the military. Debbi was happy to support her family any way she could. She enjoyed nature walks with Chico, looking for rainbows, laughing over past memories, and had a love for butterflies, for they symbolized her parents in Heaven whom she loved and missed deeply. She was always looking for signs from above. She also loved her book club on Monday nights. Debbi donated her time and efforts to local foundations, holding signs to cheer on 5K racers and attending fundraisers to bring wellness into local communities.
Debbi was known as "Auntie Debbi" to so many, as she knew how to make anyone feel loved, comfortable and seen. She was always so happy to scroll Facebook and see how everyone was doing, and loved how the family kept growing. She was the first to congratulate or comment on others` posts and kept in touch with her friends from decades before. As a dedicated employee to Medford Optical she was committed to helping adults and children see clearly and feel confident in their new glasses. Debbi was extremely thoughtful, always excited about the next holiday as she creatively planned her costume or outfit. Her favorite part was knowing she would be seeing the people she loved at a dinner, picnic, or outing. Debbi was the embodiment of love and she accepted everybody for who they were, celebrating their uniqueness and talents in all shapes and forms. Debbi will be deeply missed, and her love inspired everyone who knew her.
Heaven has gained a remarkable angel who has touched the lives of all she crossed paths with.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, March 3rd, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

I remember her from junior high school we always sat somewhat close together in class. She was always so nice to me. I recognized her smile right away.

I met Debbie when I moved into 94 Fellsway west and had a friend for life. It was like we knew each other for years. I would give her rides to work when I could. She was sooo cool I had mentioned I had to buy some slippers sooner or later and boom, she got me a pair for Christmas. That is the kind of person she was. My friend is not gone, everytime I come home I can look up to her window and wave hello.
