DEBRA CRIDER Obituary
Debra Lynn Crider was born to Herman Marshall and Mattie Louise Crider on September 21, 1960 in Huntsville, Alabama.
Debbie began her studies at Oakwood College and continued on to nursing school and graduated from Southern Missionary College (now known as Southern Adventist University) in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science.
She started her nursing career in the Baptist healthcare system at Northeast Baptist Hospital. After working a few years in San Antonio, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she completed her 30-year career in nursing. Over the years she worked in different specialties including the ICU and Telemetry as well as other areas. Debbie was well respected by numerous colleagues with whom she had the pleasure of working. She was without a doubt a workaholic and dedicated her life to caring for people.
In her spare time Debbie enjoyed riding roller coasters as well as a good shopping spree. In addition to amassing an impressive clothing collection (with some tags still intact) she also had a large collection of dolls. She loved to attend doll shows and her eyes would light up while perusing through catalogs in search of new dolls to add to her collection.
In 2017 Debbie relocated back to San Antonio where she lived out the rest of her years surrounded by her immediate family.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, H.M. Crider. She is survived by her mother, Mattie Crider; her siblings, Barbara (Allen) Thompson and Czerney 'Zack' Crider; her three nieces, Camesia (Cersle) Kenan, Chevon Ramey and Chanda Ramey; and her great nieces and nephew, Keyetta Wilson, Kevonna Wilson and Keith Wilson as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
