Mrs. Debra “Debbie” Lynn Cummings, age 67, of Lewisburg, TN passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024 in Shelbyville, TN. She was born in Lewisburg, TN to the late William Thomas Newcomb and Betty Foster Williams Adair. She was a homemaker and mother to her two boys and countless animals. Debbie was a member of the Church of Christ and helped with the Adult Literacy Program. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Elizabeth Paisley Cummings.
Debbie was an avid reader, loved watching birds, especially cardinals. She was a talented cross stitcher and seamstress who loved the company of cats. Most of all, she loved her two sons and grandchildren and spending time with them!
Debbie is survived by her loving sons, Wayman (Rebecca) Cummings of Smyrna, TN, Will Cummings of Lewisburg, TN; 4 grandchildren, Keely Cummings, Gavin Cummings, Luke Cummings, Charlotte Cummings; brother, Tim Newcomb of Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Melissa (Chris) Roberts of the Mooresville Community.
Visitation with the family will be from 9 AM until 10 AM on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM on Friday, April 5, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Ray King officiating. Interment will follow at Bryant Cemetery in the Mooresville Community in Marshall County, TN.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
