Debra DiSalvo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alavon Direct Cremation Service - South Daytona on May 29, 2025.
Debra S. DiSalvo, known to most as Debbie or Deb, passed away on May 17th, 2025. She was born on March 28, 1955, to William S. Day and Susan T. Wallen (Day) in Paintsville, KY. She is proceeded in death by her parents, William and Susan, Stepfather Jack Emrick, younger brothers Kenneth W. Day and Paul S. Day, as well as her longtime life partner Jeffrey S. Battles.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Taylor Jacomet and their two young sons that were the light of her life Colton Jacomet and Crew Jacomet, stepchildren Mike Battles and Kristen Anderson, step-grandchildren Lila and Matt Anderson along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Colton and Crew were here prides and joy, and she was everything a 'nana' should be. She loved spending time making memories with them they can hold close forever. In her younger years, Debbie raced quarter midgets with her brothers. She had a successful career and upon retirement relocated to Port Orange, Florida, which was always a lifelong dream of hers.
She was a proud breast cancer survivor, and in true "Debbie" fashion, she never let that hold her back from just being who she was and doing the things she loved. She was a warrior who endured so much, but never let it define her. Her smile and positive energy lit up every room she stepped in to.
We will be spreading Debbie's ashes out to sea and will have a Celebration of Life later this summer. The family will inform of the date and time through social media once those plans have been solidified.
We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation or the Marine Science Center in Port Orange, FL in Debbie's honor.
