Debra Fordyce-Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by David W. Barnes Funeral Home on Dec. 7, 2024.
Debra Rae Fordyce-Brown, 68, of Sedan, Kansas passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Sedan City Hospital.
She was born on November 26, 1956, in Parkersburg, West Virginia to William Franklin and Mildred Marie (Spencer) Fordyce. Debra grew up and attended school in Parkersburg, graduating from Parkersburg South High School in 1975.
Known to all as Debbie, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. Debbie dedicated her life to the health care field and was a trusted Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Pleasant Valley Manor in Sedan, Kansas for over 20 years. Since moving to Sedan in December 1983, she established herself as a caring, patient professional. Debbie was also a passionate dog lover who found great joy in caring for her dogs.
Debra is survived by her devoted husband of many years, Ronald Brown, whom she married on July 25, 1993. She leaves behind her son George Lowell Brown III and wife Tammy of Topeka, Kansas, grandsons Levi Miller of Marinette, Wisconsin and Bryson Brown of Chicago, Illinois, her mother Mildred Fordyce of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and sister Marilyn Morrison, and husband Scott of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her father William Fordyce, daughters Libby Hill and Felicia Miller, grandson Matthew Rodes, and her favorite puppy, Cody. Debbie will be remembered for her kind-hearted nature, her nurturing spirit, and her immense love for her family and her dogs.
Following Debra's wishes cremation has taken place. The family will have a service celebrating her life at a later date.
We invite those who knew Debbie to share their memories and upload photos to her memorial page at www.dwbfh.com, as a tribute to her loving and compassionate life.
