Debra A Gauthreaux

Debra A. Gauthreaux passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born September 19, 1951, to the late Emile L. Gauthreaux, Sr and Alvera Guidroz Gauthreaux. Debra is survived by her brother Emile "Bubby" Gauthreaux, Jr; her loving nephews & niece Chad Gauthreaux (Brenda), Brandy Gauthreaux Hew (Robert), and Chivas Gauthreaux, Sr (Meredith); her grandnephews & grandniece, Ethan Hew, Scott Hew, Nicholas Gauthreaux, Caroline Gauthreaux and Chivas Gauthreaux, Jr.

She was a graduate of the Class of 1969, Immaculata High School where she built many longtime friendships, especially Judy Robertson & Marrette Leblanc who comforted her in the last days of her life. She retired from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office in the Central Records Division, where she worked for 38 years. She was an avid lover of all things Barbra Streisand & Starbucks.

Visitation will be held Tuesday morning, January 6, 202,6 from 9:30am until 11am at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass afterward in the chapel at 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
