Debra Kay Hallock, age 66, of Lakeview, Michigan, passed away on November 10, 2025. She was born on May 25, 1959, to Gordon and Beatrice (Male) Taylor. Deb married the love of her life, John Claude Hallock, in 1977, and together they shared a devoted and meaningful 50 years of marriage. Throughout their life together, they opened their home and hearts to nine foster children over a span of twelve years, offering stability, compassion, and unwavering care.
Deb was known for her strong work ethic, her independence and her genuine love for people. She was outgoing, friendly and always ready for connection. She enjoyed off-roading, attending Volkswagen car shows, and spending time outdoors, especially during deer hunting season. She appreciated home, she was a homebody; Deb thrived in the company of others and embraced any opportunity for adventure.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Hallock of Lakeview; her aunt, Hazel Finup; her sister Laurie Smits; and her half-sister, Jodi Lindscott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Taylor and Beatrice Gale; and her brother, Gordy Paulson.
Deb will be remembered for her generosity, her spirited personality and her steadfast love for family and community. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
No services are currently scheduled.
