Hernon, Debra T. (Thomson) “Deb” of Canton, died December 2, 2025.
Deb adored her family, especially her children. She enjoyed playing pickleball, hiking and taking walks, reading, shopping, and being social. She worked for Commonwealth Elevator as an office manager for many years and at her friend’s boutique Tutti Bellissima, where she had a lot of fun. Deb was an outgoing, involved, and caring woman who took care of everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Loving daughter of Joanne (Peters) and the late Robert M. Thomson. Beloved wife of Michael Hernon of Canton. Devoted mother of 2LT Jack Hernon of Chester, VA, Lauren Hernon of Charlottesville, VA, and Kevin Hernon of Canton. Cherished sister of Robert C. Thomson and his wife Amy of Whitman, James Thomson and his wife Laura of Savannah, GA, and Michael Thomson of Weymouth. Loving aunt of Dan, Emma, Brian, Sofie, Carley, Mamie, goddaughter Samantha, Matthew, Jenna, and Sara. Godmother to Liam Ritz. Granddaughter to the late Nancy and Charles Peters. Also survived by many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 12/11/2025 from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday 12/12/2025 at 11 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Deb may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, 3 Columbus Circle, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10019.
