Debra Louise (Luebke) King, a beautiful wife, mother, grandma, sister, sister-in-law and a very special friend, age 58, of Breckenridge, MN, received her wings while surrounded by her loving family at Essentia Health Hospital, Fargo, ND, on Friday, March 14th, 2025. The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2025, with a visitation beginning at 12 p.m., at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge. Pastor Adam Parker will be officiating the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge.
Debra was born on April 12, 1966, in Moorhead, MN, to Leslie and Sandy Luebke from the Fargo/Moorhead area.
She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Bruce King on February 15, 1986, and recently celebrated 39 years of marriage. They were blessed with three wonderful children, Casandra Ciers, Brandon King, and Carla King. Debra raised her children and watched as they began having families of their own. She adored her eight beautiful grandchildren: Ca’Mayra. Cynthia, Cayden, Cayci, Collous, Levi, McKenzie, and Amelia. Debra showed them each unique love and enjoyed being around family and friends. She was especially close with her siblings and quickly made friends who she also considered family.
Debra will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Bruce King; three children; eight grandchildren; siblings, Diane (Hugh) Kohlhase, of Breckenridge, MN, Darlene (Lester) Peterson, of Kerkhoven, MN, Donnetta (Jason Luedtke) Wallace, of Albertville, MN, and Loren Johnson, of Moorhead, MN; stepmother, Raebun "Dolly" Johnson, of Dilworth, MN; sister-in-law, Marie (Bill Klink) Baker, and Beckey (John) Chase; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Xaveria Benson Marracune “Shorty,” Cindy Cossette, Brian Baker, Greg and Elaine Arnt; and her best friend of all - her sweet dog, George.
She was welcomed into Heaven by those who has preceded in her in death including her parents, Leslie and Sandra Luebke; nephew, Matthew Folden; sister, Louella Johnson; aunt and uncle, Janelle and Orlin Umlauf; paternal grandparents, Alvin and Genevieve Luebke; maternal grandparents, Cora and Elmer Robideau; father-in-law, George King; mother-in-law, Karen Fries; step mother-in-law, Carol Livingston; uncle, Charles “Chuck” Robideau; and many other special relatives.
