Debi Kay Lambert, 71, of Cherokee, AL passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. She was born on April 26, 1954, at home in Akron, Ohio, to Charlie & Christine Jones.
She was married to her beloved husband, Gene “Candyman” Lambert, for 44 years—until death parted them on January 7, 2022.
Debi Kay loved Pop, her family, and her friends. She helped so many of us in so many ways—always there when you needed her, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. She had a strong spirit and a no-nonsense way about her, but she also had a kind and loving heart.
She enjoyed a good cup or 10 of coffee, sewing, crocheting, trips to the drag strip with Pop, visiting with family members, and staying involved in whatever her kids and grandkids were doing. She was proud of her family.
Life wasn’t always perfect, but she said it was truly wonderful.
It’s the end of an era, but those closest to her will carry the echoes of the love she gave us into the next chapter of our lives.
Farewell to our precious Mama, Gran—our Debi Kay. With love always, your “Roundhouse Gang”
