"Summertime Has Passed on by"

When summertime has passed on by,
I´ll meet you `round the fields of rye.
The sunset´s near, and willow´s weep,
and yet, there´s time before I sleep.

The lake is lush with gems of gold -
as sands-of-time will soon unfold.
The day has dawned - I´m homeward bound.
There´s beauty in this silent-sound.

The wondrous times we´ve shared with friends,
on camping trips - near river-bends,
are memories, which never die.
They´ll comfort us when night is nigh.

The time´s arrived when loved ones part,
and yet, they´ll stay within one´s heart.
For as we reminisce each day,
our loved one´s never far away.
