A funeral Mass for Debbie Preuschl, 55, of Wesley, will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Divine Mercy Parish ~ St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona. The funeral will be livestreamed on the Divine Mercy YouTube page. Public visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Tuesday at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Algona. Debra Kay Preuschl was born June 5, 1967, in Algona, daughter of Merrill G. and Patricia (Wiltse) Walker. Debbie grew up in Algona graduating from Bishop Garrigan High School in 1986. In earlier years she worked at Dodgen Industries in Humboldt and the Country Peddler in Algona until her son Kolby was born and she cared for him.
Debbie was a kind and caring person who loved her family time. She was a prankster. She enjoyed camping, taking family trips, gardening, and baking. She found comfort living in the country which allowed her to care for many cats.
Debra Kay Preuschl died Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the age of 55.
She is survived by her husband Jerry and son Kolby of Wesley; her mom, Pat Walker of Algona; her siblings, Barry Walker of Wausau, WI, Laurie (Don) Luensmann of Aspinwall, Brian (Selina) Walker of Algona, Angie (Mike) Rooney of Johnston, Lynne (Joe) Chambers of Washington, and Anne (Constantine) Magulas of Centreville, VA; her brothers-in-law, Daniel (Molly) Preuschl of Algona, Dean (Monica) Preuschl of Whittemore, and Dana (Misty) Preuschl of Algona; a sister-in-law, Lisa Preuschl of Coralville; and many nieces, nephews, and aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father; her parents-in-law, Judith and Donald Preuschl; a sister, Pamela; and a brother-in-law, Donald Preuschl.
