I first met Debra as her AR Hospice nurse. The thing that stood out about her was her beautiful, beautiful smile. When she smiled she glowed. I also admired her dependence on her husband Ray. Even though her dementia had taken so many of her memories away she still looked to him. If I asked her if I could do anything, like take her BP, for example, she would look at him and he would assure her it was ok. If he stepped out of the room , she was looking for him. Their love was strong. I could also see the strong bond of love between Amy and her mom. I am so privileged to have been able to be the nurse to such a beautiful lady. She will be missed so very much. Praying for her family for peace and comfort.
