Debra Stolarczyk Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heintz Funeral Service Inc. - Herkimer Rd. Location on Dec. 10, 2025.
Mrs. Debra Ann Stolarczyk, 71, of North Utica, affectionately known by many as "Pink", passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Rome Memorial Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Debra was born in Utica on April 25, 1954, the daughter of Louis A. and Rocatella M. (Cafarelli) Petrone. Raised in Utica, she graduated from Proctor High School and went on to build a long and dedicated career of more than 50 years with MetLife in Oriskany. On November 10, 1990, she was united in marriage with Thomas J. Stolarczyk, a caring and devoted union that blessed them with 35 wonderful years together.

Debra found joy in many things, especially her love for crafting, but nothing meant more to her than time spent with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable happiness to her life. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Utica.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; her daughter, Melissa Turturo of Rome; and her son, Matthew Turturo of Utica. Debra leaves behind six cherished grandchildren, Vincent Turturo, Anthony Turturo, Jaden Rios, Vedar (Kate) Rios, Nikkiah Rios, and Marciello Rios. She is also survived by her sister, Lois Gotte of Texas; her brother, Robert (Leslie) Petrone of Oklahoma; her special cousin, Joan Petrone Christodal of Florida; and her sisters-in-law, Dale (Brian) Hill of Oriskany and Carol Conte of Frankfort. She will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Church, 1206 Lincoln Ave., Utica. She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Utica. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 14th, from 3:00–6:00 PM at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Pl., Memphis, TN 38105, or online at www.stjude.org. Donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Tom, Matthew, Melissa and family. I was deeply saddened to hear of Debbie's passing. She and I met in 1972 as young new hires of MetLife when they occupied a floor in the Oneida County office building. We became part of a work family that looked out for each other for years. Needless to say, we grew apart but I have never forgot the 20+ years we shared working for Mother Met. Please accept my condolence in the loss this this beautiful lady.

I am very saddened to hear of Debbies passing. She was a kind and wonderful neighbor both her and her husband Tom. When my sister and mother passed she was so very kind to bring sympathies and gifts of her delicious homemade food. My condoliences to all the family, she will be greatly missed. May God grant her peace. To her family I pray for strength and healing to all.
