Dee Ann Sales Brierton, 73, of Greenville, Texas, went to be with her heavenly father on April 19, 2024. Dee Ann was born on January 10, 1951, in Sherman Texas, to JoAnn Hall and Jack Sales.
Dee Ann completed her high school education at Hillcrest High School in Dallas in 1969. Later, in 1971, she successfully finished a Legal Secretarial Course and received a diploma from Draughon's Business College. On the weekends, Dee Ann cherished the moments of wandering through antique stores, attending estate sales, and exploring flea markets alongside her beloved late husband, Dewayne. She was also a member of the Vansickle Baptist Church and took pleasure in joining the Sunday services. Above all, her heart overflowed with joy in the precious moments shared with her grandchildren. Throughout the weekdays, Dee Ann dedicated herself to her role as a Deputy District Clerk at the Greenville Municipal Court.
Dee Ann is survived by her children, Brad Hise, Scott and Jamie Hise, Shirley and Donald Richardson, Dennis Brierton, Billy Brierton, Betty and Kevin McNatt, Kathy and Steve McMackin, and Sandra Hill; brothers: Buddy and Kim Sales, Joel and Dawn Sales; brother-in-law: Jimmy Brierton; daughter-in-love, Bethanee and Tom Howes and their girls; 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Dee Ann is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her daughter, and two granddaughters.
There will be a funeral service Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas. A committal service will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.
