Lindquist Mortuary- BountifulDee Pronk, 70, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025. He was deeply loved and admired by both friends and family, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Dee grew up in Rose Park, Utah — a place he always fondly remembered and considered home. From a young age, he developed a passion for music, particularly brass instruments, and spent much of his life sharing that gift with others. He played in numerous bands throughout the years, earning the respect and friendship of fellow musicians, classmates at the University of Utah, and even members of the professional music scene. His favorite band, Tower of Power, remained an inspiration to him throughout his life.
In addition to his musical talents, Dee was a gifted golfer. He built a respected career in the golf industry, working his way up through various clubs in California and Utah. His dedication and skill eventually earned him the position of Head Golf Professional at West Ridge Golf Course — a role he was proud to hold.
One of Dee’s most beloved qualities was his lighthearted nature. He had a unique ability to lift spirits and find the silver lining in any situation. He chose laughter over sorrow and optimism over despair, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. Dee will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
Friends and family may gather from 2-4pm on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, to visit and honor Dee's life and legacy..
