Dee Short Obituary
Dee Short , age 75, entered into rest on Saturday November 29, 2025.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Roof; son, Joseph Hanak; grandchildren, Paige Roof, Patrick (Lauren) Roof, Shane Roof; great grandchild, David Boerner; and sister, Mary Mitchell.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Forrest C. Mitchell and Mary Leopard Mutareilli; brother, Kenneth Mitchell; and sisters, Marion Mitchell and Patty ValVerde.
Ms. Short was a member of the Langley Church of God and later the Langley United Methodist Church. Dee was dedicated to helping and working for Hope Ministries of the Valley and she loved the folks at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church Meal Program. They were like her family. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she has touched.
A funeral service honoring her life will be held on Friday December 5, 2025 at 3PM in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. George Webb officiating. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends on the day of the service from 2pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
