Thinking of the White family today.Time heals the pain but memories are always with us.I am so very glad I have so many find memories of Mrs.White.

She was a wonderful person whose beliefs and goals were embedded everywhere in the school. Our 2 boys went there as reverse mainstream kids and what a magnificent experience it was. We offer our condolences to the family.

I was so very shocked to hear of loss Mrs. Dela White passed away. I was former student at Sunshine Cottage School for the Deaf the way back in 1961 to 1963. She was so very sweet greatly lady, She was the founder to set up the old school and had deaf daughter Tuleta who put in needs educations better for deaf school the life future. To my prayer are with all the families to thoughtful of Dela white~ May God Blessed Her the Praise!~

I was shocked to hear Mrs. White passed away. I was former student at Sunshine Cottage back in 1960. She was remarkable lady who put the extra miles to meet our needs for our future.

Dela was an extraordinary woman. Sunshine Cottage would never exist if it was not been for her. She will be greatly missed!

It is with great sadness that I read of this wonderful woman's passing. She was an inspiration to all and a friend to so many. I was honored to be in the first class of the Sunshine Cottage-Incarnate Word Graduate Program for Master's Degree in Deaf Education. She always took an interest in what was happening in my classroom in the 15 years I taught at the Cottage. I loved that she would stick her head in to say hello. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family as well as her many friends and the staff and children of Sunshine Cottage.

Loving, Kind, Thoughtful, Giving, Smart, Educated, Creative, Resourceful, Beautiful, Happy, FUN, and Adoring her family. It's hard to imagine San Antonio without her; she has been a great role model for so many. My condolences to all of her treasured family and many friends.

Dela gave so much to the deaf children and our community. Many of us hearing impaired have a huge pride and gratitude for her legacy at Sunshine Cottage which will always live on in her memory. Thank you!
