Delbert "Del" Cornell

Rest in peace my old friend from days when we where young.

Diane and I send our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Eileen and family.
Del was one of the most honorable, thoughtful and efficient person that I have worked with during my stay at the DMV.
His counsel, support, and advise to me was above and beyond the norm.
We will miss him.

To Eileen and the family, so very sad to hear this news. I've always looked up to Del and count myself lucky to have known him and Eileen. My condolences to the community of family and friends that knew and loved Del. Regrettably I cannot attend. Del will be in my thoughts always.

From Guy and Diana Reynolds - Guy served with Del in the Motor Vehicle Department. I was a road-warrior with him in the Truck Inspection Program. He later became my boss and it was my privilege to serve beneath him. I went to Vietnam in 1965 when the 1st Air Cav went over, so, we had that 'Band of Brothers' thing going on also. Eileen and the Cornell family I am so sorry to hear about Del's passing. He was one of the best and will be missed. He was especially good to me when I was going through some tough times and for that I will never forget him. He gave me the strength to keep things moving and I loved him for that. Eileen, I'm so sorry to hear the news about Dell. I always liked Dell he was a good man. My dad was fond of him also. I'm here in Florida visiting my mom or I would've attended the service. Again I'm was sad to hear the news.

Eileen I am so sorry for your loss. Dell was a great friend and I will cherish the good times we had. Unfortunately I'm in Florida and not able to be with you at this terrible time. I will call when I get home.

From the time I watched you as a young man in military flight training, I knew you were meant to be a pilot and flying came so easy to you. You saved many young men in service to our Country and you did it with perfection and dedication. I was always proud of the man (Ghostrider 22) and always, I knew you were happiest of all up there in the skies. it was a great honor to know Del. My life was enriched with him being part of it. There are few people in this world you get to meet with the Heart of Del. We will all miss you, but I know your flying high and dropping in low, cruising slow and listening to sweet country music.
