Delbert Fuchs

Delbert Leon Fuchs (Fox), 72, of Monroe, IN passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at his residence in Monroe. He was born on July 10, 1945 in Monroe, Indiana the son of the late Milo Fuchs and the late Mary (Hirschy) Fuchs. Delbert was a farmer. He had also worked with Ideal Builders as a painter. Delbert had various jobs throughout the years and was self-employed. Delbert enjoyed fishing with his sons, hunting with his friends, gardening, and all outdoor activities. He was involved with softball leagues, horseshoes, and enjoyed sitting on his porch playing his harmonica. Survivors include his son, Norman (Barbara) Fuchs of Angola, Indiana; son, Douglas (Amy) Fuchs of Leo, IN; son, David (Christy Cummings) Fuchs of Angola, IN; and seven grandchildren, Tiffany (Charlie) Pinkerman; Jenna Fuchs; Nathan Fuchs; Megan Fuchs; Anna Fuchs; Brandie Fuchs; and Darren Fuchs. Delbert was preceded in death by four siblings, Delores Harvey; Herman Fox; Ivan Fox; and Irene Burkholder. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home - Decatur with Pastor Fred Meuter officiating. Interment will follow in the M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home – Decatur. Preferred memorials can be made to Heart to Heart Hospice.
