HER LIFE
Delean Flowers was born in Bakersfield, California on October 14th
1942 to her late parents Deloan and Adele Moore of Bakersfield,
California.
Delean accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church
in Bakersfield under the leadership of the late Rev. H.A. Green. She
later joined New Mount Calvery in Los Angeles, California under the
leadership of Dr. Rev. L. Dawson, she was a current member of St.
Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church of Pflugerville, Tx under the
leadership of Pastor Richard A. Coaxum. Before her death she
enjoyed shopping, getting ready for Christmas, watching old
western movies and travelling with her husband.
Delean attended public schools in Bakersfield, California where she
graduated from Bakersfield Highs School. She was a business
owner, she worked for Los Angeles County Hospital as a Surgery
Technician Supervisor for 35 years.
Delean’s family celebrates the harvest of her life and enjoyed the
time God gave her to us. Delean was preceded in death by her
parents Deloan and Adele Moore, brother Leon Moore, sister
Dorothy Jean Moore Brown, son Arvell Terez Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband Donald
Flowers of 44 years, of Pflugerville, Tx, son Deleaon King of Los
Angeles, California, daughter Anastasia Sherman of Bakersfield,
California, her adopted daughter, Lisa Williams, her step children
Emerson, Kimberly Flowers, Ashley Flowers (Tekell) her
grandchildren, Trevell Serano, Darren King and Diana King,
daughters-in-law Marzette Mayweather-Lewis and Vicki King, Niece
Linda Shotwell, Nephews Deon Shotwell (Sandra) and Damoned
Brown (Jody) Goddaughter Nikita Clay sisters in-law Joyce Flowers,
Alice Flowers of Belize, Ema June Wright of Los Angeles. A host of
grand and great grand nieces and nephews, cousins, family and
friends.
