Delia Diaz Arredondo, 94, of
San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, Delia lived a long and beautiful life rooted deeply in her faith, love, and devotion to her family. Her life was a reflection of grace, compassion, and an unwavering trust in God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joaquin Diaz and Elda Blanca Ortiz, her beloved husband, Jesus Arredondo, her sister, Elda Villarreal, and her grandson, David Flores. Though we feel their absence deeply, we find comfort in knowing they are now reunited with her in eternal peace.
Delia is survived by her three daughters, Alma Ruiz (Rudy), Patricia Flores (David), and Edna Zuniga (Ruben). She also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren, Genevieve Ruiz, Edmund Zuniga, Vanessa Zuniga, Yvette Stevens, Ruben Zuniga III and Christoper Flores as well as fourteen great-grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren each of whom brought her immense joy.
Delia was the heart of her family, a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and a guiding light to all who knew her. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and kind words had a way of making everyone feel seen, comforted, and loved. She found joy in life's simple blessings, sewing with care, singing from the heart, dancing with happiness, and her laughter that will echo in our memories forever.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. She prayed with devotion, trusted in God's plan without hesitation, and carried a quiet strength that sustained her through every season of life. That same strength and faith now live on in the family she nurtured with so much love.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, they are also filled with gratitude for her life, her love, and the countless beautiful moments she gave us. We take comfort in God's promise of eternal life, trusting that Delia now rests in His loving embrace, free from pain, and surrounded by peace.
Her legacy of faith, kindness, and unconditional love will continue to live on in each of us. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered until we are together again.
Hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar, nuestra hermosa mamá y abuela.
Padre Nuestro
Padre nuestro que estás en el cielo,
santificado sea tu Nombre;
venga a nosotros tu reino;
hágase tu voluntad en la tierra como en el cielo.
Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día;
perdona nuestras ofensas,
como también nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden;
no nos dejes caer en la tentación,
y líbranos del mal. Amén.
