Delia Belle Reese

MAYSVILLE — Delia Belle Reese, 97, passed away on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025. She was greeted in Heaven by her beloved husband, Harold Reese.

Born Feb. 28, 1928, in Tollesboro, Delia was the daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Smallwood) Henderson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Janie Teegarden, Robert Henderson, Burt Henderson, Bobbi Frodge, and Mary Alice Turner, as well as a granddaughter, Erica Reese, and two sons-in-law, Jimmy Dixon and Gary Sweet.

Delia could often be found swinging on her porch, spending time with family and friends, or sitting on the back pew at Faith Assembly of God, where she faithfully attended for many years. She was a God-fearing woman filled with love and kindness for everyone she met.

She enjoyed taking car rides around Maysville, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, and continued babysitting well into her 90s. Delia also volunteered at the local clothing bank.

Survivors include her five children: Joyce (Dale) Reed, Brenda (Jimmy) Dixon, Michael (Kathy) Reese, Timmy (Pam) Reese, and Michelle Orme; ten grandchildren: Angie Thompson, Paige Reese, Rae Graves, Derrick Dixon, Jamie Dixon, Scotty Reese, Megan Holloway, Chelsea Morgan, and Macey Orme; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 24, from 5–8 p.m. at Faith Assembly of God, 293 Martin Luther King Highway. Maysville, KY. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Maysville and Mason County Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Dixon, Scotty Reese, Michael Hunt, Daniel Thompson, Kyle Thompson, and Lucas Holloway.
