Our mom, grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma, Dee Davis passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 surrounded by her daughters and granddaughter. Dee was born July 26, 1944 in Panguitch, UT to Carlos DeLong and Thella Shakespear.
She married Thomas Evans in 1963, they later divorced. They had 5 children: Trudy Zufelt (Parowan, UT), Lisa Labrum (Bluffdale, UT), Tammy Dodds (Murray, UT), Tom Evans (Parowan, UT) and a baby boy who preceded her in death.
She married Allan R Davis on March 17, 1980. He preceded her in death in 2012.
Dee and Allan were a long-haul truck driving team for over 20 years. She LOVED being a trucker! She was happiest behind the wheel of her “big truck” on the open road.
Nothing brought our mom more joy than her grandbabies. She would always tell us if she would have known having grandkids was so much fun, she would have had them first! She has 11 grandkids who affectionately refer to her as Ma D, Grammy, Grams, Grandma, DeeDee. They are: Christopher Kuddes, Ben (Chelise) Zufelt, Sammy Labrum, Val Labrum, Melissa (Jon) Kranwinkle, Joe (Trystin) Zufelt, Tony (Molly) Zufelt, Dakota (Lexee) Dodds, EmaLee Evans, Shayna Dodds and Dallas Labrum. Great Grandkids: Alex, Zoey, Kajlyn, Otis, Mason, Mya, Sarah, Ashden, Remy, Wyatt, Owen, Raine, Mike (Abi), Gabe (Lindsey), Hunter and Ivy. One Great-great grandbaby: Cyrena, and 2 more on the way.
Dee is survived by her children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Edwin (Debbie) DeLong, brother-in-law, Paul Hastings; and many, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her baby boy, her husband Allan, her son-in-law Ron Dodds, her parents, and siblings: Alvin, Carla, Eloise, Richard, Linda, Gaylen and Harvey.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Quality Hospice—Crystal, Clover, Sarah, and especially Amber. Thank you for taking such tender care of our mom. And to Cresent Senior Living for making the last year of her life so comfortable.
