Della Burns Obituary
Della was born to Cloyd and Leona Marshall on September 5, 1952. She graduated from Rogersville High School, and went on to obtain an Associate's Degree from Northeast State. Della retired working for Silver Angels. Della was a member of Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, spending time with her grandkids, attending church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cloyd and Leona Marshall; brothers, Junior and Sammy Marshall.
She is survived by her children, Jamie Burns, Robyn (Nathan) Darnell, and Anthony (Barbara) Burns; grandchildren, Jenne Darnell, Jackson Burns, Norah Darnell, Alexis (Jake) Harrison, Mercedes Darnell; great-grandchild, Ravyn Harrison; sister, Charlotte Yanis; nieces, Tonya Danielle and April Marshall; nephew, Rodney Huffman.
The family of Della wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the nursing staff of the hospice division at Holston Valley.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2025 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm with Rev. Tim Seaton officiating. Graveside service will follow in Butcher's Valley Cemetery.
