Della Ann Holland

CLINTON — Della Ann (Andrews) Holland, 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Clinton on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025.

A lifelong resident of Sampson County, Della was born on Jan. 8, 1946, to the late Charles Lee Sr. and Delphia Andrews. She was the beloved wife of the late Cary James Holland of Roseboro.

Della will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to her family and for her remarkable stamina and strength. For many years she worked faithfully alongside her husband on the farm, and later in life became a cherished and familiar face in the community as the "Estée Lauder lady" at Belk in Clinton. She enjoyed cross-stitching, crocheting, and reading, and she generously devoted years of her life to caring for elderly relatives. She was blessed to receive that same devoted care during her final years.

She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Ann Cooper; sisters, Jane Andrews and Linda Jo Nichols; brother, Bruce Andrews and wife Judy; grandson, Kyle Lee Cooper; granddaughter, Haley Ann Cooper McGuirt and husband Jason; great-granddaughters, Ava Cooper, Sadie Cooper, Saylor McGuirt, and Marin McGuirt; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Della was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Lee Andrews Jr.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Roseboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-1:50 p.m. prior to the service and at other times at the home.
