Della St. Andrew-Reed, 69, died peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Troy, NY.

Born on December 28, 1955, in Troy, NY, Della was a daughter of the late Lawrence Alfred St. Andrew and the late Jane Marie (Dupree) Hemmingway. She was raised in Pittstown, NY, and her stepfather was Henry Hemmingway.

Della was a cheerful, caring woman who devoted her life to taking care of others. A former CNA and dedicated caregiver, she found joy in serving people. Outside of her caregiving, she loved crafts, particularly crocheting, and had a fondness for drawing-a skill she proudly passed down to her son.

She was the beloved widow of the late Harold Reed, who died in February of 2025.

Della is survived by her loving children: Mark Richards, Melissa Richards, and Kenneth Nusca, as well as her stepchildren Jessica Richards-Fuller and Jennifer Richards. She was the cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Della was one of four siblings, survived by Penny Dellio, Larry St. Andrew, and Kristina Morin. She was predeceased by her late brother, Lee St. Andrew.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 5 to 7 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, located at 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street), Troy, NY 12180. Calling hours will conclude with a time to share cherished memories at 7 o'clock in the funeral home.
