Delmer White, 72, of
Littlefield, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born on December 08, 1953, in
Tucumcari, New Mexico to Delmer Luther and Betty Ruth White.
Growing up, Delmer was one of five children within his household. He married Rhona Kay White on July 24, 1973. His life with her was abundant in love and memories. They raised three daughters that blessed them with grandchildren and great-grandchildren to share their love with. Their grandchildren and great-grandchildren referred to Delmer as 'PaPaw.' Delmer and Rhona were married for 43 years and then Rhona went to her forever home with the Lord. Having a servant's heart and willingness to help others were characteristics that Delmer will forever be remembered for. He was a giving man by nature. Delmer was a faithful member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Littlefield.
He valued honesty and working hard. Delmer was outspoken and telling the truth was simply part of who he was. Wearing many working hats was what Delmer was best at. He could do anything he set his mind to. Delmer worked as a roofer, in a mechanical body shop, and was gifted in working with metal and wood. There was nothing that he could not fix with his hard-working hands. He also worked at the American Cotton Growers denim plant in Littlefield for several years. Delmer was also known to be a grill master and would make famous barbeque and pork butts. His food brought people together. Gardening was another talent of Delmer's that he took pride in. His garden was awarded and won him numerous ribbons at the South Plains Fair. Having a garden that flourished by his hands showed the kind of patient and dedicated spirit Delmer had.
His honesty and hard-working legacy will live on through his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Betty Ruth White; three daughters, Mitzi Dickerson and Chuck of
Littlefield, Texas, Kimberly Olmos of Wolfforth, Texas, and Deanne White of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren, Zach White, Kori Klein, Tyler Klein, Madison Crawford, Macy Olmos, and Samuel Olmos; four great-grandchildren, Braxton White, Brayden White, Bryson White, and Rhett Klein; a brother, Todd White of Mary Esther, Florida; and a sister, Debra Handley of Amarillo, Texas.
