Delores S. Beard

I had the pleasure of working with Delores when I began at Alternitive Ways, an asbestos analysis laboratory. As a clueless new analyst Delores took the time to train me and mentor me through the confusion of my first couple of weeks. Her patient guidance was so appreciated, every mistake I made was answered by "that's OK, you'll get the hang of it!" And I did. I attended a training seminar with her weeks later in Washington and remember how nice it was to have such a good listener to review the days events, always accompanied by a Mai Tai cocktail, since whenever she traveled she said "I always order one." Delores will be greatly missed and it was an honor to know her.
